Kwebbelkop & Taya Miller join Bandai Namco in supporting Make-A-Wish streaming event
Two content creators have been announced as ambassadors for the charity event and are appealing to fans and fellow content creators to get involved in the global event this April. All funds raised will go towards granting the wishes of children living with critical illnesses around the world.
This April, content creators and their fans from all over the world will come together on popular streaming platforms like Twitch and YouTube to raise funds and grant wishes to children living with critical illnesses. This will be the second year for the event – THE WORLD STREAMS FOR THE WISHES - and Make-A-Wish International is anticipating an increase in funds raised and the event’s popularity among people who livestream for charities. Among the participants will be Taya Miller, a creator who enjoys bringing characters to life through her acting and cosplays, and Jordi van den Bussche, well known by his online persona ‘Kwebbelkop.’ Jordi and Taya are appealing to fans to get involved, with Jordi saying “this is obviously a super-good cause and I want everyone to join me!”
Make-A-Wish International created the charitable streaming event in response to the sharp increase in gaming related wishes coming from over 50 countries and the rising costs of granting those wishes. Technology wishes and wishes to travel to places like the world’s most popular theme parks are now two of the most common types of wishes hoped for by children undergoing medical treatment.
Park Beyond, Bandai Namco Europe’s title slated for a 2023 release, will be the main partner of the charitable fundraiser. Park Beyond is a brand-new take on theme park management developed by German-based studio Limbic Entertainment. As a visionary architect, players will take on the fantastic task of building and managing every detail of their own amusement park with a twist.
Registration is open now through the end of April. Individuals can take part or find out more at worldwish.org/stream-ftw/.
